Prof. Dr. med. Kilian Eyerich, PhD was honored with the "Deutscher Psoriasis‐Preis" in the context of the „DDG kompakt und praxisnah“  meeting of the German Society for Dermatology (DDG) in Stuttgart. The DDG appreciate Kilian Eyerich’s research success in the interaction of the immune system with chronic skin inflammation. The price (in the amount of 30,000€) will finance his further research projects in the field.

MAPS - Munich Atopy Prediction Study

Warum entwickelt ein Kind Neurodermitis?

Dieser Frage gehen CAI Forscher der TUM Klinik und Poliklinik für Dermatologie und Allergologie um Prof. Biedermann mit Hilfe der neuen Geburtskohorte MAPS auf den Grund. Bei der Untersuchung von Nabelschnurblut, Abstrichen und Stuhlproben bei Müttern und Kindern sollen Risikofaktoren der Krankheitsentstehung von allergischen und dermatologischen Erkrankungen identifiziert werden. Das bessere Verständnis von Krankheitsmechanismen soll zukünftig neue Wege für gezieltere Therapien öffnen.
